Strengths & Stressors: The Black Men's Health Study

Historically, Black men have been overlooked in mental and physical health research. Our Strength & Stressors Study will examine how the effects of stressors (e.g. discrimination, police harassment, incarceration) and protective factors (e.g., religiosity/spirituality, resilience, positive racial and/or sexual identity) affect Black men's drug use and accompanying negative mental and physical health outcomes.

In order to participate in this study, you have to be a Black man in the Washington, DC/Maryland/Virginia area between the ages of 15 and 54 years old. If you are eligible to participate in this study, you will be compensated for your time. If you are interested in participating in the study or have any questions about the study, please contact us at [email protected] or (202) 596-2743 and we will contact you within 48 hours.
